Rodney E. Rocker, Sr.


Rodney E. Rocker, Sr., a native Floridian, is a 1976 graduate of Wildwood High School. He furthered his education at Florida A & M University, Tallahassee, Florida in 1979 with his Bachelors degree in Education. He later attended and completed studies at Nova University in 1987 with a Masters in Administration and Supervision as well as a Doctoral Candidate of Nova in 1992. In 2003, he completed studies from Saint Petersburg College of Funeral Services and became a licensed funeral director in 2004.

His career in education is quite extensive and spans from 1979 - present. He has served as a classroom teacher, curriculum coordinator and on to Administration in several forms. He currently serves as a Principal in Sumter County Schools (1998-Present). From 1992-1995, he served as Team Leader for School Improvement at Florida State University.

He is a member of Omega Psi Phi Fraternity and is State Keeper of Records and Seals. 
He also holds membership of the Fourth Regional District of the Florida Morticians Association, where he currently serves as District Treasurer and a member of the Constitution and By-laws Committee for the State of Florida. He is also a member of Indepedent Funeral of Directors of Florida and National Funeral Directors Association. A member of the Kiwanis Club, he is very much civically involved.

He serves a Chairman of the Trustee Board of the Mount Ararat Metropolitan Baptist Church of Leesburg and very active in the choir as well as many community organizations and choirs. Added to the directoral staff of our establishment in July 2007, he has made a lasting impact on our establishment. Ironically, the bond began between Allen & Rodney, while both classmates in mortuary school and from this tie has grown a lasting friendship as our business has been of service to many.

He is married to his beloved Darlene and is the father of Rodney II, Phillip, Kyra & Kyle.
